Exclusive: Nass Boutique

I have been invited by the lovely owner of NASS boutique Ms. Lujain Al Shalfan for a private preview of her multi-brand boutique. The moment I stepped in and browsed the selection of the ready-to-wear and accessories on display, I instantly knew that this will be a major destination for fashion lovers shopping around The Avenues. And just like any other fashion-obsessed person, I suddenly stopped focusing on the main objective of my visit to the boutique, and experienced this adrenaline rush, which I usually get when I see so many beautiful things to try on and potentially buy. So instead of me taking notes and photos of the merchandise and interior of the boutique, I began to pick out the pieces that caught my fashion radar.

Luckily, Lujain interrupted my fashion fantasy, and walked me through the gorgeous selection on the floating display. And described for me the history behind each brand. The selection was a mixture of established designers and emerging ones. I recall seeing pieces by Ostwald Helgason, Monies, Ben Amun, Venessa ArizagaLublu Kira Plastinina, and JILL Jill Stuart evening gowns and cocktail dresses, which range between KD 70 and KD 120, amazing prices wouldn't you say?? The mix of merchandise ensures that the store’s collection is accessible to almost anyone and everyone. Of course I LOVED Monies's statement necklaces and bracelets, exactly what I need to dress up my Ramadan caftan and of course other plain tops and dresses. Scroll down to get a sneak peek of what's available now in-store...

NASS boutique is currently open and you can shop there starting tomorrow. It's located in The Grand Avenues, close to Elevation Burger.

Venessa Arizaga's pearls

Loved this skirt! Comes with a bow detail which zippers, you can actually use it to keep your keys/money whatever and walk around hands-free!

I got one of these clutches! So in love!

If you ever visit the boutique, make sure to check out the collaboration between international fashion blogger Man Repeller and Patterson J. Kincaid.

Lujain has also introduced me to a brand that is stocked in several boutiques in Paris, Saint Tropez, and Sauce boutique in Dubai. When she started this intro I assumed that it's a european brand. later I was surprised to find out that it's actually by a Kuwaiti Fashion designer Eman Aldukhan. Her brand is called Emanmoon. I couldn't find a website or anything online about the brand. However I did take these photos of a shrunken bisht-like top and a skirt by Emanmoon. It's amazing to be stocked and known by the biggest boutiques on the international level.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
