Waiting for Fall

Now that fashion magazines started laying out A/W 2012’s trends for us, the fashion forward persona within can't wait to start stocking up for the new season. And what better way to kick start the A/W fever than showcasing a brand I madly fell head over heels with, especially after meeting the creative force behind it in person, thanks to Boutique N.

For Fall, Russian designer Vika Gazinskaya wove an enchanting story through the use of Versailles-inspired patterns on copper-colored jacquard, structured yet feminine silhouettes, signature scribble-like prints, and unexpected details such as wooden diamonds that adorned sweaters and shoes. I remember when I met Vika at Boutique N a few months ago; she has enthusiastically explained how the wooden diamonds were actually detachable and that you can attach them to the sweater, featured in the photo below, in any design or layout you want.

In a short period of time, Vika Gazinskaya has managed to establish a huge fan base in our region, especially that many of the looks here would be perfect for Eid, formal events, baby & bridal receptions, and more. I cannot wait for this new collection to arrive at Boutique N.

Vika Gazinskaya has been previously featured on my blog here and here.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
