Dear Confashion: Modern Sadu Textiles & Pieces For Sale

In case you have missed Zeri Crafts' exhibition titled Gulf Handicrafts: New Interpretations, New Horizons that was held recently at Sadu House. You can check out its installation and pieces on Dear Confashion page. The exhibition showcased pieces inspired by our Gulf heritage; the textiles by the Bedouin weaving art of sadu, and the mabkhar by the patterns we find in Gulf architecture. The exhibition carried 76 pieces handwoven and hand-brocaded in silk., which took 9 months to weave. Most of the pieces were purchased during the exhibition, with the exception of a few cushions that are still available.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in Miu Miu Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
