Let it B

I firmly believe that turning the ordinary into extraordinary is what statement accessories do best to an outfit. And B Villa might be your answer if you're looking for such accessories and more. Located in Al-Bida'a, B Villa offers a great selection of statement accessories by DANNIJO, Mouton Collet, and Maryam Keyhani to name a few.  Some pieces are even exclusively made for B Villa. You will also find distinctive clothes and accessories hand picked from places such as Japan, Greece, Latin America, Turkey, and Europe.

I was invited by the owners of B Villa to have a closer look of the place. So I passed by the other day and the moment I entered the villa I immediately felt right at home. Away from the hustle and bustle of shopping malls, B Villa had warm and welcoming atmosphere. The fashion boutique is located on the ground floor. And the1st floor consisted of a fitness studio and a lounge/cafe for women to relax, unwind, and enjoy  light snacks. The B Studio offers salsa, zumba, ballet, yoga, and TRX classes by a former Brazilian model (click here for schedule). And soon, they will be opening a salon for hair, nails, and make-up.
What a wonderful addition to the Bida'a neighborhood! Definitely on my go-to list when I need to pick up a gift, get my DANNIJO fix, or just want to treat myself to something fun.

B Villa is located in Al-Bida'a, al-ta'awen st, behind Zumurrida Hall, villa #7. Their opening hours are from 10am-1pm and 5pm-9pm everyday. Closed on Fridays.

Now these are one of my favorite items at B Villa, a vintage Chanel pendant and brooch. Price tag? KD 80 each.

Just like my collar!! A golden collar necklace by DANNIJO for the color-shy I guess..

Mouton Collet jewelry collection created by designers Mathieu Mouton and Nicolas Collet. They are known for collaborating with Lady Gaga and made many of her eccentric head or jewelry pieces. They have also been in collaboration with: Maison Martin Margiela, Loulou de la Falaise, Nina Ricci for Olivier Theyskens, Kenzo, Herve Leger, and Jitrois.

See the necklaces on the above photo by Mouton Collet? Well actually they can work as both a necklace and a hairband.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Amazing Alia

Several months ago I posted about Alia Designs , a Kuwaiti talented designer of traditional clothes and dresses. Back then, I liked one of the items featured on her website. This time I'm going ga-ga over her latest Ramadan collection of Kaftans and darraa'at! Especially the one shown here on the first picture. Looks very young, comfortable, and oh-so-perfect for after futoor! For inquiries please visit the website or call (+965) 642-7400.
