Serenity Now

It has been oven-hot and dusty for over a month now. And I was in desperate need of a quick getaway. So I thought to myself "There's nothing like water and sand to refresh a dusty and stressed-out soul". so, I have decided to take off to Beirut for semi-cooler climate. I wanted somewhere quiet and serene. I have already been to Eddé Sands on previous trips (too crowded and showy, has amazing pools though, but mediocre beach). So being a beach person, I headed to a secluded beach in Jyeh, almost 30 minutes South of Beirut, called Lazy B.

Lazy B was like a piece of heaven in Lebanon. It was so serene, quiet, natural, and simply beautiful. The most relaxing beach I have been to in Lebanon. Here are some photos to give you a feel of the tranquility of the place.

Beautiful clean pool overlooking the blue waters, and the beauty of it is that kids are not allowed to swim in the pool. You only hear the sound of the waves.

Outdoor beds? Take your pick! It doesn't get more relaxing than that!

This is my favourite outdoor bed, it was so comfortable and soft.

And outdoor washrooms too with beautiful bright green walls and vintage-like sinks

You can say that my short trip to Beirut was mainly to relax, rejuvenate, and EAT! No shopping or staying up late! I'll share with you tomorrow some of my favorite restaurants.

Normally I would complain and say "don't give away our secrets!!", but I am confident that "our crowd" won't like this place one bit... no loud music, no silicone, no flash, no trash

I went last summer and had one of the best days ever. And the food is fantastic too!

Wow! I love it - will surely visit the place when I go to Beirut (next week...counting the days!).
Question to Georges / Confashions: do they have any kids pool or kids play area...don't worry, will make sure my kids don't "infect" the place with loud screams and noise in order to preserve the "serenity" of this amazing venue...

Georges, your Lazy b is breathtaking! I’m definitely going there next summer. You have done an amazing job and I wish you the best of luck. :)

It depends what you are looking for, for affordable & budget friendly, try Palm Beach Hotel in ain el mrraissah. For stylish. quiet, and secluded accommodation, go for Albergo in Achrafieh, for big 5 star and a crowded hotel, try Phoenicia.

I loved their natural creek, the place was magical, we were the last to leave!

As far as i know, kids are not allowed to use the pool. But you can try Bamboo Bay which is only 2 km away from Lazy B, it's kids friendly and a nice beach resort.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Amazing Alia

Several months ago I posted about Alia Designs , a Kuwaiti talented designer of traditional clothes and dresses. Back then, I liked one of the items featured on her website. This time I'm going ga-ga over her latest Ramadan collection of Kaftans and darraa'at! Especially the one shown here on the first picture. Looks very young, comfortable, and oh-so-perfect for after futoor! For inquiries please visit the website or call (+965) 642-7400.
