Just Like Isabel Marant...

The shoes at Zara have caught the wild wild west fever, or to be politically correct the Isabel Marant cowgirl fever. The cowgirl boot were revamped to modern day cool, Marant style of course. And the flats with contra-coloured piping/design looked very similar to the Marant's runway stilettos. I only found two pairs of the flats at the Avenues branch, not sure if they're available elsewhere, so catch them if you can... or want..

LFW: Obsessed With Sophia Webster

As much as I enjoyed attending fashion shows of some of the industry's renowned designers, my ultimate excitement (after meeting Tylor Tomasi Hill of course) was scouting new and under-the-radar designers at London Fashion Week . And on Day 2 of LFW, I officially made some room in my heart for relatively-new shoe designer Sophia Webster . Yup, she is sitting right up there next to Nicholas Kirkwood and Pierre Hardy .  According to her representative whom I met, the designer has been working as design assistant to Nicholas Kirkwood since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2010. Aha! That explains my instant attraction to her playful and oh-so-feminine designs, she's been mentored by shoe genius himself. She’s already been picked up by Net-a-Porter , Bergdorf Goodman , Neiman Marcus , Saks , and Colette . And I'm not surprised! When I took a closer look at her work I let out a loud sigh! I wanted them all! They all looked so fabulous and fun-looking to wea...

LFW: Emilia Wickstead S/S 2013 Fashion Show

The first fashion show I attended during London Fashion Week was Emilia Wickstead's S/S 2013. The collection can be summed up in two words: Elegant and effortlessly chic. The designer has sent out models down the runway with impeccably groomed super straight hair and very soft makeup, dressed in pretty dresses with hems reaching mid-calf, featuring scooped out necks and backs. Full skirts and slim Bermuda shorts also had their fair share of the spotlight. The palette is enriched by buttercup yellow, mint green, soft pink, and duck egg blue. One of my most favorite looks was this striped silk top paired with a gorgeous full circular checkered skirt made of what I think thick linen. I also loved the shoes, I tried to get a close-up, but couldn't get a proper photo. Manolo Blahnik designed high heeled pointed court shoes and cut-out sandals in tropical shades of pink and green, they were specially made for Emilia Wickstead's S/S 2013 collection.  Apparently, the d...

Making a Statement with Lizzie Fortunato

As I was shopping around Boutique N , located at Burj Jassim, I couldn't help not stare at the owner's sensational statement golden chain necklace, decorated with maroon colored feathers. It really popped up her chic black ensemble. So I immediately asked her about its brand. And that's when I came to know that it's a NYC-based accessories line called Lizzie Fortunato , which she has recently started stocking at the boutique. The clasp on the back of the necklace makes even a bigger statement, I loved the /feather/leaf-like detail. Perfect if you're styling your hair high up in a messy bun. And Check out the beautifully embroidered clutch shown below also by the same brad... This Lizzie Fortunato iPad case double as clutch bag too, which makes it perfect for a night out or as a chic ipad case for uber-chic jetsetters. And it's the last piece in store too.
