Getting a Mother's Day gift is one of the challenging things I do every year. So I was excited to find the perfect last-minute Mother's Day gift which I'm sure she would love, wear, and treasure forever ( hopefully! ), a friend recommended me to go to a boutique called Thoub Zaman at Salhiya Complex, where I can find exquisite Darra'at (traditional dresses), and since my mother loves wearing the traditional dress for family gatherings, I decided to check out the place and buy her a darra'a as part of a Mother's Day gift basket. When I went there, I was surprised to find that the place not only sells Darra'at, but also, wedding gowns, evening gowns, and even formal dresses that appeal to the younger generation. The boutique is such a warm and welcoming place that it will make you feel like you're browsing a friend's closet. Pricing is fair considering the amount of detailed embroidery done on the Darra'a. I spotted these sunnies at H&M and even though the frame look a bit square-ish, I felt that they slightly look like Giles S/S 2010 cat eye framed sunglasses (which are on my S/S shopping list). Price tag? Around KD 3. A great way to try out the cat-eye trend without spending a lot of money.

Boucheron has been crafting pieces for those with gourmand appetites and seekers of sensual objects of desire for over 150 years. That tradition continues today with the creation of some new “bite size” additions to its successful Tentation Macaron collection. The Tentation Macaron collection was originally inspired by the delicious French macaroon.  And it includes 3 rings, one in pink sapphires with a “bite” taken out of the macaron to reveal a filling of rubies and two other “bite free” rings that have their macarons covered in dark rich amethysts or tart green tsavorites.  There is also a vibrant pendant that consists of three colorful macaroons descending in size down the center of a necklace. The Boucheron artisans have designed the rings, which start at 1,900 euros, to be worn individually or stacked along the finger. The Mini Macaron collection will be available in the Boucheron stores at Mall of the Emirates and Emirates Towers Boulevard from May 2010.

Almost a week ago, I bought my a pair of MiH jeans from crème boutique's exhibition, I honestly thought I lost 2 kilos (wishful thnking). Yes, they were THAT good. As soon as I saw these foulard boots by an Italian shoe brand with Russian roots called Russy at Boutique 4  I immediately remembered Me Blogging . I actually liked the way they looked but not sure about this color in particular. What I liked about them is that they can be tied around your leg any way you like so they can be knee-high or tied around your ankles. Not suitable for K-town's Summer though.
