Zaha Hadid Gallery Welcomes Dori & Alia Mouzannar

Oh the joy of reciving fashion news from around the world straight to my e-mail inbox! Love it! I got an e-mail annoucning that The 6th generation of the Mouzannar legacy, Beirut-based fine jewelry creators Dori Mouzannar and Alia Mouzannar are welcomed this October by client and fan Iraqi-British international architect Zaha Hadid to showcase their work at the Zaha Hadid Gallery in London – where the celebrated architect frequently receives fellow talented designers. Zaha Hadid will be designing a piece in collaboration with the House of Aziz and Walid Mouzannar for this event.

Dori will be presenting his Meteor collection and a re-edition of his Gothic line, Alia her Modular collection, as well as a concise retrospective of their previous designs. A cocktail party will mark the launch of their residency at the Zaha Hadid Gallery on the 9th of October with the exhibition running until the 11th of October 2014.

Here's a sneak peak of the kind of modular jewellery Alia will be exhibiting. What's beyond amazing is that this is actually a one pair of earrings from her new modular line, which can be worn in 12 different ways!! Plain genius, wouldn't you say?!

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
