A Day in Doha

On my way from Kuwait to Doha-Qatar, I kept on re-organizing my agenda to plan what I'll be doing in the afternoon before heading to The Kayys event, since I'll arrived 3 hours before the event. Ironically I wasn't planning to go to any shopping mall, I guess I'm getting enough of retail therapy from my day job. So I was contemplating should I go to the Modern Islamic Museum, which I've been to previously, or go to Mathaf, since I haven't been to it yet but it takes longer to get there. By the time I  boarded the plane and checked-in to the hotel it was 2:30PM already, I was too exhausted and starving to leave the hotel, so I decided to explore the hotel, grab something to eat, and then get ready for the event. I stayed at Saint Regis, which I think it makes such a great family hotel because of its facilities, plus it offers the Michelin star cuisine of Gordon Ramsay and Hakkasan as part of its dinning facilities.

Anyways, when I arrived to Katara where The Kayys event was being held, I spotted this gorgous painting with the "like" details of an instagram, photo above. Not sure who painted it but its colors and details are amazing.

The view from my room at the Saint Regis in Doha

Giving my camera a quick test before heading to the event.

Mixing my Boutique Black Pearl necklaces with Mouzzanar and Lama Hourani's necklaces. Thankfully my layered necklaces look passed the security check points at the airports quietly

And I got a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the lovely girls behind The Kayys and my invitation to their event was waiting for me too.

Some photos of Katara, I wish I had the time to explore it properly. Basically, it's a Cultural Village aimed at increasing human interaction through art and cultural exchange. According to this site, Katara Cultural Village is the largest and the most multidimensional cultural project of Qatar. It is a place where people come together to experience the cultures of the world. With beautiful theatres, concert halls, exhibition galleries and cutting-edge facilities, Katara aims to become a world leader for multi-cultural activities.

Necklace is awesome! Have you heard of Nadia Dafri? She's African but I forgot specifically from where. But she also does these really cool huge colourful necklaces. Check her out, I'm sure you'll like her stuff. :)

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
