Rum bum bum bum rum bum bum bum rum bum bum bum Man Down

I don't know much about guns, and hopefully I'll never need to!, but playing Rihanna's Man Down song over and over on my iPod and then spotting these two super cool home items makes me want to buy a gun. The kind that ends with a mug or a lampshade that is! The gun inspired mug is available at Turqoise boutique in 360 Mall (KD 9), and the lamp light is from B&B boutique located at Al Tilal Complex.

Chelsea Player Didier Drogba At Christian Louboutin Boutique in Dubai

Look who has been shopping at the Christian Louboutin boutique in Mall of the Emirates, the famous Chelsea player, Didier Drogba with his new wife Lala and children, spending some quality time during their stay in Dubai for their honeymoon. Thank you Noreen of rrandco for sharing this with me.

No More Cash Refunds?

Recently while I was shopping at one of AlShaya stores, the sales lady handed me a brochure announcing the soon-to-be-launched AlShaya Card. And I thought "that's great! It would make a great gift idea". But then I continued reading the info printed on the brochure and it stated that this card will not only be used as a gift card but also all AlShaya stores will no longer offer cash refunds and instead the value of the refund will be loaded to this card, which according to the saleslady you need to purchase too in order to use it, with a 12 months expiry date. How do you feel about this? Why retailers in Kuwait are iffy about cash refunds? Whereas their counterparts in the US and Europe have no issues in giving you your cash refund? Are shoppers abusing this policy which lead AlShaya to modify it? I personally liked the gift card idea, but have mixed feelings about their new cash refund policy such as the card fee and the 12 months restriction. Yes I'll still buy fro...

Lemony Stella

I honestly did not expect to find this bright zesty lemons and oranges oh-so-summery dress on Sale at Stella McCartney's boutique in Al Thurrsya Complex! Was KD 310 and now it's priced at KD 217. *Viviana Volpicella's photo was taken from style.com

Aurora's Aura

I am head over heels in love with Vogue Nippon’s Fashion Editor Aurora Sansone’s dress. And when I first saw the street style photo by Tommy Ton for style.com , I had a “that-looks-familiar” moment. So naturally after seeing such a stunning piece, my brain clicked into high gear and started looking through my mental archives and finally I had an “Aha!” moment! I spotted this floral maxi and oh-so-modern dress before at Al Ostura’s multi-brand store in Al Thurraya Complex. The beautiful dress is designed by Aquilano Rimondi and it’s priced at KD 580. And no it’s NOT on sale.

Just Like Prada...

The "Just Like Prada" posts keep on going on and on! I spotted this banana print on a wrap style dress in Mango . The dress looked ok, nothing spectacular. It needs a lot of statement accessories, maybe a  pair of  Prada woven  heels *wink*, to give it that cool factor.Oh! And it's KD 9 only!

Givenchy Shoes on Sale

Don't you just love Summer sales? You can easily justify your purchases with "I'll be wearing that for thw next 10 months!" statement. So I'm thrilled to share with you that the Givenchy shoes at the brand's boutique in 360 Mall are finally on sale, 50% off to be precise. Think flats, gladiaor sandals, metallic heels for the evening, and tough-chic multi-straps sandals like the ones featured here and on this post (in black only). I have to warn you though, some styles are still pricey. Like the ones featured on this post, they were priced at KD 400+ and now they're KD 200+.

Oh-La-Ladurée

We have finally managed to try out the new menu at the recently renovated Ladurée Cafe at 360 Mall. It was my first time to dine in at the Kuwaiti branch. And I enjoyed it a lot. Even though the place was packed and the surroundings were too noisy (we went in the evening), I liked the ambiance of the cafe. It was so French and so pretty. Even the service was impeccable.  Another thing that made me have a positive experience at Laduree is the creative and mouthwatering presentation of dishes served. I strongly recommend you try the shrimps with the veggie mille-feuille (shown below). So good!

Thank You Royal La Vida

This is a long, looong overdue post. But you know what they say, better late than never. A special thank you goes to  Royal La Vida boutique for inviting me to their opening which I unfortunately could not make it as I was out of town, but I'm planning to pay it a visit soon. And with their invitation came this cute small silver pot with a velvety base and a cute tassel. Thank you so much guys. I'll be using it for my bukhoor .

And Another Thank You Goes to Local Tees

Also a big thank you goes to Local Tees for sending me this super cool t-shirt designed by Joe Rainworks . I was very impressed by the quality of the cotton used and I loved the small square leather tag on the back of the shirt which gives you the number of the shirt since  Local Tees   team produce limited number of tees , so  only 50 pieces were made of this t-shirt. Thanks again guys!

Everybody's Gone Surfing

Yesterday I have received the press kit for MAC cosmetic's latest collection: Surf, Baby! And since first impressions always count, the moment I saw the super pretty, striped and beachy-themed packaging I fell in love with it. And this is bad news for me! Because a) this means I'll be buying more pieces from the collection that I probably won't need. And b)I'll be buying eye make up that I don't even know how to use! Yes, I confess, I suck when it comes to eye make up. My so-called make up routine basically consists of two steps: lipstick and blusher. That's it! Anyhow, to my luck, I LOVED the lipstick shade which I have received. It's called Mocha and it was quite light in shade.  The eye pencil and eye shadow had a nice shade of  blue and grayish crushed metallic pigments. But I'll be needing some training on that from friends, Hudabeauty , and Youtube! The Surf, Baby! collection includes splashproof mascara, Skinsheen Bronzer Stick, SPF 20 Liquid...

Hey Kitty Kitty

I spotted this adorable kitty istikana (Arabic for tea cup) on ilSul6ana 's blog the other day. And being a sucker for cute things, I immediately fell in love with it! So I caved in and bought it from Chay Shop . I think it makes a nice everyday set.  Being blinded by the kitty's cuteness, I forgot to check with the Chay Shop's representative about the tea cup's size dimensions and how heavy the glass is before I placed the order.  I didn't want to end up buying something too fragile. But when my order was delivered I was relieved to see that the tea set was just perfect. I wish it came with a matching sugar container though.  Check out the rest of Chay Shop's tea sets by clicking here .

These limited edition, perfect for the beach/pool Missoni for Havaianas espadrilles are sold out almost everywhere so I was thrilled to finally find them in my size on My Theresa's latest arrivals.  The Missoni Loves Havaianas espadrilles are selling for around KD 38.Very budget friendly!

This is NOT a Fanny Pack

I'd like to call this the chic purse belt instead because I like it a lot and calling it a fanny pack would just ruin it for me. I think it makes a great accessory for either traveling or for casual chic outings when you don't want to carry a clutch or a bag. I spotted it at Jaeger Boutique in the Avenues Phase II. The leather pouch comes in a variation of colors and it's attached to a gorgeous tan colored belt.

Make the Ultimate Retro-Luxe Statement

Live the Missoni dream! The iconic Italian label has the looks to be seen in for a super-luxe summer. Imagine yourself from poolside to party in signature swimsuits, maxi dresses and boho extras at up to 70% off on The Outnet .

Looks Familiar?

I spotted this quilted clutch/shoulder bag with rolled up details at a boutique in Salhiya, which I can't recall its name now, and it just stopped me in my tracks! Whooaaa! A "Just-like-Chanel" moment? I'm sorry but me no likey! I think it was priced at KD 60? Just thought you should know in case you're interested... *Runway photos style.com
