Doctor Doctor... Give me the news!


I've got a bad case of lovin' you (Chanel) No pill's gonna cure my ill. So I might as well get yoooou (My apologies to Robert Palmer).

The famous Chanel Quilted glazed calfskin doctor bag from the Paris-Londres 2008 collection is now available at Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex in two sizes. I fell in love with the larger one instantly, BUT, there's a slight problem. The bag does look a lot like Marc Jacobs Stam bag (which I'm not very fond of). It's lighter though with much better quality. Price? KD 1,130.

I saw it last weel and thought the same thing - way too much of a Marc Jacobs look alike. There's a really nice one though behind the counter, it's huge and I think it's vinyl but it looks like patent. It's got a thick goldish chain. That one is nice and looks light. Madri cham si3irha though

When I first saw the picture I thought "O an updated version of the MJ bag" but after I read your entry and found that it's a Chanel, I was totally turned off by it. But then again I'd have to see it in real life since most of photos don't do Chanel justice.

I had to buy the bag for my cuz over the summer, I hated that it was hard n rough..definitely not the classic soft chanel bag! Small opening, large space at the bottom..so not practical! Oh and guess what jaeger has one that looks exactly like that!! Put marc, chanel, and jaeger side by side

I just bought the metalic flap bag from the FALL WINTER 2009 ,and it’s so elegant you can use it for day or evening .

Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
