From Lebanon with Love

Once upon a time while skimming through my magazines, I found this picture of Mary Kate carrying a mysterious and exotic looking clutch which I instantly fell in love with. Unfortunately, back then, I couldn't find out who the genius designer behind this envelop-like-leather creation with a bracelet handle and a huge stone decorating the flap of the clutch. It was a heartbreaking ending.. and I moved on. Until one day...

I was shopping at Alothman and found the yummiest clutches in exotic skins and ruched patent leather and some were adorned with semi-precious jewels that looked very familiar. Suddenly I was having flashbacks of my "clutch love at first sight".

So I immediately investigated the situation and found out later on that the clutch was indeed designed by the same designer. And let me tell you that I was surprised (and proud) to know that the designers behind those marvellous clutches are two Lebanese girls Maya and Joanna Nakhle. Their brand is called Maia N. Everything about Maia N clutches is a complete perfection, the size, the skin, the shape, and most of all the price!

The list of Maia N's clients include Queen Rania of Jordan, Princess Alia of Jordan, Queen Sophia of Spain, Carine Roitfield (Editor in chief of French Vogue), and of course Mary Kate Olsen.

The clutches are available at Al Othman and prices start at KD 170. (and my fave clutch design is already sold out!). Al Othman is located at Mariam Complex, Salem AlMubarak St, Salmiya. For inquires, please call (+965) 575-4954.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
