Closet Candy's fantastic Lookbook is here

Get a glimpse of what's in the "Closet" with Closet Candy's new and fabulous Spring/Summer 2008 Lookbook. It gives you the best looks of the season and highlights trends carried by the boutique such as safari, menswear, bright color (yellow), and bold prints.

What I liked about the lookbook is that it's created from scratch. The first of its kind in Kuwait in terms of working on original photoshoots, the concept, creating the looks... etc. Closet Candy did not take the easy way of creating a lookbook. And I salute you guys for that.

So which one is your favourite look? Mine are two, the high-waisted dark jeans topped with chiffon romantic blouse and studded bracelets (3rd Photo) and the boy-meets-girl look featured here (6th photo). The lookbook is sure to catch the eye of young fashionistas around K-town.

From now until June 2008, Closet Candy will be having their new collections out every Monday. So make sure you're there early before size and styles get sold out. So far, they have new arrivals from Primp, One of a Kind jewelry, AKA New York and Development.

Closet Candy is located at Mohammed Thunayan Alghanim Street, Salhia, Kuwait. For inquires, please call (+965) 241-0667. To get their latest store updates and new arrivals, join their mailing list by visiting their website here.

The collection is good. But I wonder, if such "bold" (as refered to by the community in Kuwait) can be worn in public without inviting staring glances, rebukes, scorns, envy (of course).

I didn't find any outfit "bold" they can all be worn in Kuwait (pants and long sleeve tops). The last one is a little provocative probably because the usual purpose of a lookbook is styling to make a fashion statement. Otherwise, I think everything is okay to wear.

I just called and reserved the high waist jeans. You're right confashion, I'm scared they will sell out too!

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
