Remember my event post a couple of days ago about Ricamo's Tea Party Exhibition ? Well, here's a sneak peak of the beautifully set display. I'm sure this would appeal to any hostess with the mostess. The exhibition will be on until Tuesday 19th January 2010 at Al Telal Complex above Frette.

Last week, I had the pleasure to attend Davidoff's launch of limited edition Davidoff Slims lights designed by Luisa Beccaria . The event was held at Salwa Ballroom in Marina. And as much as I loathe smoking, I couldn't pass on the opportunity to see the designer herself and experience the fashion runway-esque event. The Italian designer showcased some of her new Spring/Summer 2010 pieces in a beautiful and romantic ambiance. The designed cocktail dresses and evening gowns were infused with Beccaria 's signature  feminine and extravagantly chic tulle ruffles. And by the end of the runway show, Luisa and her absolutely stunning daughter greeted the crowd donning dresses by the designer. I was so mesmerized by the gowns and dresses on the runway that I couldn't miss out on Al Othman's trunk show which was held the next day and admire the pieces up-close and personal. I haven't been to N.B: Boutique located at Salhiya Complex for quite some time, so it was a nice treat to pass by the boutique and discover some really cool nick-knacks that I don't think you'll find elsewhere here in Kuwait. Like these delicate lace and lace-imprint pendants, just what you need to keep you right-on-trend this season and embrace the lace trend. And I also liked this cute illustration on this basic white tee (white tees seem to be my thing these days!). And there was a big selection of Maloles flats that will have your feet in comfort bliss. My fave were the studded pairs and the unbelievably adorable mother-and-daughter Maloles flats for tiny feet! Perfect gift idea.   

I got the following job vacancy announcement by e-mail which might interest some of you.. The ideal candidate will have prior experience or a strong passion for fashion design, preferably in menswear.  The position will involve designing men's clothing and accessories for a private fashion label. Requirements: Portfolio and sample work Ability to work on a design brief using computer software Capable of supervising the make-up of sample garments Ability to create technical drawings and toile sample garments for mass production This position is on a freelance/part-time basis with possibilities of becoming full-time. I was shopping at H&M the other day and by coincidence spotted this canvas shopping bag from the Sonia Rykiel's H&M collaboration . I'm pretty sure this bag was not on display when the collection first launched in the Avenues branch. Or maybe it went off my radar, anyhow, just thought of sharing this in case you're a hardcore Rykiel fan.
