Lush Life

I came across this new store which I'd like to call it the new and refined version of The Body Shop. The store is called Lush and it provides fresh cosmetics and beauty products all handmade using fresh, organic fruit and vegetables, and the finest essential oils. It has a complete range of natural handmade bath, body, and face products including handmade natural soaps, bath bombs, shampoos, cleansers, and moisturizers. Great place for gift ideas. The store has a deliciously mouth-watering smell so I strongly do not recommend visiting it while fasting. Lush Cosmetics is located at 360 Mall's lower level, opposite to Giant supermarket.

Ramadan Kareem

I would like to wish you all a very very blessed Ramadan with your beloved beings. Hope this year's fasting will be an easy one for you. Wow, the days pass by really fast! I just realized that this has been my third Ra madan as Confashion and it has been absolutely an amazing experience! I met great people. I even forgot to celebrate my 2nd year anniversary as a fashion & lifestyle blogger. I sincerely thank all my readers and blogger buddies who have been supportive and who showered me with love and valuable feedback. I owe you all a big time. مبارك عليكم الشهر

To Cacharel or Not to Cacharel

I love the Parisian chic look of Cacharel . Most of the pieces which I bought from Cacharal ever since it opened in Kuwait are items that I still wear to this day for casual outings. However, the past 2 seasons were slightly disappointing with the exception of very few pieces. A few days ago, Cacharel Boutique at Arraya Complex received a few selection of it's Fall collection. The collection was...ok, which really translates to " slightly disappointing ". They had soft printed blouses & dresses with ruffle details, velvet sleeveless dresses, and knitted tops and dresses in earthy tones and greys. Nice.. but not breathtaking. I'm hoping their next Fall arrivals would rock the boutique just like it did a few seasons ago.

Summer Or Fall

When I plan to go out shopping, I'm usually focused. I know what I need and I know what I want. Very easy in theory. However, when I shop in certain places in Kuwait such as Al Othman , 4 boutique , and Villa Moda . That same theory magically disappears the moment I see some incredible and beautiful pieces like this emerald green leather textured and structured leather jacket by Poleci at Villa Moda Al Fanar . Even though it's from the designer's S/S 2009 collection, it's a perfect piece for our Fall. besides, who would wear leather in the summer, right? The jacket is priced at KD 435. I love how the model paired it with a white lace top. Moving on... I'm a sucker for almost anything Thakoon -ish. And this tie-dye vibrant pink and red shirt dress from the designer's Resort 2009 collection is too beautiful to miss. Unfortunately (or fortunately!) it didn't fit me well. Price tag? KD 515. Here's the "almost anything" from Thakoon excepti...

Hostess with the Mostess

A Kuwaiti entrepreneur designed a unique set of acrylic serving plates, which means you won't find them anywhere else. It is a completely new and an original design that is extremely useful in numerous ways. This design helps keep food clean, no food spills while driving, and saves some much-wanted space. Also, it includes handles to help with the serving along with a place for spoons and napkins on the sides. The design serves a dozen. Price tag? KD 65. To order, please call (+965) 9923-6282. Limited quantities. You can also visit her Facebook group: Unique Trend .

The Art of Architecture

This Autumn/Winter 2009 collection sees Rupert Sanderson draw on inspiration from all round the globe: from beaches in Sri Lanka, all the way to Italy and her Italian master craftsman, Gio Ponti. Gio Ponti, one of Italy’s greatest 20th Century designers and architects, has been a huge inspiration to Rupert Sanderson this season. It is his flatware in particular that has inspired Rupert Sanderson to create his first sculptured heel, brand new for this season, on styles such as Seleste (shown here). The heel stands 110mm high and gives the illusion of being broken, whereas it’s actually perfectly balanced when teamed with the subtle external platform. The heel is truly an ingenious piece of design and again reflects back to Sanderson’s love of architecture, structure and balance – all key elements in his shoe-making.
