Unless you've been living under a rock or instagramless, you'd probably know by now that Chanel's next Cruise collection will be held in none other than one of my favorite cities in the world, Dubai.
Since 2000, Chanel's collections have been travelling around the world from Paris to New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Venice, Saint Tropez, Cap d'Antibes, Versailles and Singapore.
A futuristic megalopolis of the 21st century, the ever developing Emirate of Dubai is a crossroads of civilisations between Europe and Asia. This dynamic and multicultural city that inspires travel and evokes the spirit of Cruise is also the perfect setting for the show that will be held on Tuesday 13th May 2014 in the presence of Karl Lagerfeld.
Ever since I heard the news and I've been wondering where would it be held, it would be a major disappointment if it's going to be held at a Mall, like Dubai Mall, that would be very stereotypical. Let's play the guessing game! So here is my list of where this much-anticipated event should be held:
- Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa, this place is nestled in a lush palm oasis, deep within Dubai’s magical dune and desert landscape. So it would somewhat give a true feel of arabic heritage.
- Dubai Miracle Garden, it is Cruise collection, so it's only natural to have the fashion show set up in the most beautiful and biggest natural flower garden in the world.
- Dubai Marina Yacht Club, can you imagine the scenery during sunset when the lights of the buildings are reflecting on the water?
What do you think? Where will it be held?
