I have been recently interviewed and featured in the January Issue of Viva Magazine , one of the best-selling women's glossy in the GCC and it is based in the UAE. I passed by Bayt Lothan's exhibition and I must say that it was such a refined one. The courtyard of the old building was beautifully decorated with massive flower chandelier-like shapes designed by the talented wedding planner Wael Al Humaidhi . I got to know about Mr. Selfridge through my colleague at work. The mini TV series centers on the early days of Selfridges , the most loved shopping destination for GCC shoppers in London. And it explores the real-life story of the flamboyant and visionary founder of Selfridges , U.S. retail magnate Harry Selfridge. I assumed since Selfridges is located in London, then it must have been founded by a British guy! I haven't seen the first episode yet, maybe over the weekend. But this is surely a genius branding exercise for the high-end retail department store.

Unless you've been hibernating in your underground bunker and being anti-social media for the past few weeks, you probably have heard about the hottest hair news sweeping K-town, that is floral headbands by local brand Ninas de Papa .  Ninas de Papa design over-the-top and oh-so-pretty floral hair bands using artificial flowers made of high quality materials such as silk. They're all handmade by the designers themselves Sarah Alabdulkareem and Nora Al Amer. So you can actually tell that the hairbands are a true labour of love.  A couple of weeks back, my friend and I paid them a visit at their studio. I was amazed by the beauty of the hairbands up-close and we immediately started trying on every sample they had.
