Confashions From Kuwait

I popped in briefly in Marella Boutique in the Avenues Phase II the other day and was quite impressed to find some nice accessories suitable for someone with a simple, classic, and elegant taste. Like these cute dusty pink and brown flats with 6 tassels details, they looked like a toned-down version of Louboutin's  Tasselissimo suede shoes. And found this crystals and ribbons necklaces, I haven't tried it out so I'm not sure how it sits on the neck. 

A very warm and fun video, with a lot of good vibes, summing up the expereince of people who attended Nuqat Design Conference that was held in Dubai a few months ago. Nuqat's aim is to develop arab creativity in design, advertising, architecture, fashion, production and all other creative fields.

Today and tomorrow, we will all be in for a treat! Two event will be held and both will be featuring some really exciting newely established local businesses as well as hot emerging brands from our regions! Today, we have the Pretty Little Things  (PLTQ8) Charity event which will be held at Bait Al Sadu. The event will help raise funds to refurbish a part of a local orphanage. And tomorrow we have Alwan - Art & Fashion event, taking place at Dar AlFunoon , this event will have a showcase of regional and local brands as well as a collective exhibition of Iranian Contemporary Art. Definitely a must-see for art and fashion lovers. Last week I instagramed (@confashions) that I've received samples from M.A.C cosmetic's latest release, MAC Chenman collection. Apparently, the collection is based on Chen Man, one of China's most celebrated fashion photographers. She got her start taking a bunch of cover photos for the Shanghai based fashion magazine, Vision. She is also a regular contributor to the Chinese publications in Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and Esquire. To be honest, I haven't heard of her until I received this collection. And I was very impressed by her bio. OK, so back to the MAC Chenman collection, the packaging of course is lovely.
