Save the Date

I have decided to add a new feature on my blog called Save the Date where you will find a listing of upcoming fashion and lifestyle related events. This way, announced events won’t get lost in my daily blog post, nor they’ll over shadow them. Plus it would make it easier to refer to the announced event without having to scroll for previous and old posts. So if you’re planning to host an exhibition or an event, you can drop me an e-mail and it will be featured under Save the Date page.

Prints Charming

I had the pleasure to get an up close look at Nur Kaoukji ‘s vivacious prints which she has created for her collection: Noon's Prêt-à-Porter collection and Sohphia 203's vibrantly feminine handmade couture accessories, which perfectly complements the colors Nur has used for her prints. I have to say, the photos do not do them justice. They’re both beautiful collections in different ways. I’m not an expert when it comes to textile design but the way Nur has mixed her prints has resulted in an eclectic and at times surreal combination, which added a lot of character to her practical designs. As for the pieces created by Sophia of Sohphia 203's , the craftsmanship and the quality are beyond stunning. I put paired her colorful butterflies belt (It can also be worn as a head piece) with one of Nur’s bohemian chic dresses and it looked divine for dinner on a hot summer night. I truly can’t wait to see what they come up with next.

Season's Greetings from Chanel

I have received a pretty season's greetings card from Chanel and I wanted to share with you how lovely the card is designed with its pop-up detail of the famous Chanel spiral mirrored staircase and a silhouette of Madame Coco. Genius design!

Coco Cruise

The great thing about living in a hot climate like Kuwait is that we don’t need to fast forward our so called winter season to rock cruise collections. I can wear almost any piece right now! Especially when you buy a statement piece like this “charming” quilted Chanel bag, This baby needs to be celebrated and taken out for dinners and events and not hidden somewhere in the back of your closet. Chanel’s boutique in Salhiya complex had the cruise collection on display, and some pieces call for an exotic getaway like the canvas flower decorated shopping/beach bag and the cute pale pink flats for long night walks on a short pier, you know… just in case the elastic starts rubbing against the back of your ankle. Oh well... enjoy!

Say Hello to Cruise

The sorbet colors, the floral prints, and the flirty silhouettes, these are the yummy ingredients of the cruise collections which have started hitting stores around K-town, giving out the promise of a sure-to-sell-out S/S collections, since we tend to consume our summer closets the most. So let’s start with Louis Vuitton . At first I wasn’t so sure of the tri-bows heels but after staring at them for a couple of minutes I got hypnotized! I love the mix’n’un-match lining of the shoes, and how the dainty bows are decorating the pumps, price tag? KD 265. There was also a cute pair of pale blue patent and leather flat sandals (they come in heels too but in pale yellow) and plain colored peep-toe heels. What is on your Cruise wish list?
