The other day I wanted to shop at Villa Moda's multi-brand department only to find this section closed for referbishment. The partition which had the announcement, was also showing a list of exiting (and maybe new?) brands. I was surprised to see some of the names such as Marc by Marc Jacobs, Current Elliott, Vera Wang Lavender? Really?? However my disappointed soon faded when I saw some of the multi-brad items relocated to the ground floor. For example, remember the area where  Goyard boutique used to be? Well now it has been named Moda Accessories and has a bunch of cool brands on display such as Anya Hindmarch  shoes & bags, Kotur clutches, GINA shoes , Nicholas Kirkwood , and some unfamiliar brands. The window display was neat. I wonder when the Multi-brand department will be re-opened.

Remember my post last year about a Kuwaiti girl who was featured on Elle.com ? Well I think now we have the "Homme" version of it. A sharp-eyed reader pointed out to me this photo of what it seems a Kuwaiti or a Khaliji guy who was recently featured on ELLE.com's Street Chic Daily section . Update: Actually ELLE magazine was at Miami Art Basel week and spotted our ELLE guy and asked to take his pics for their street style section (which is even MORE amazing).  Kudos to our Elle guy for his smashing street style and catching the attention of one of the biggest fashion magazine in the world. I'd love to see more fashion devotees from this region being featured in Elle.com or HellwaFashion.com  or any of street style sites. Fun!

Retrospection is their view on life; their eyes as of now are camera lenses and #2 pencils. The Artists are: Farah Al Wuqayan, Fahad Al Hunaif, Talah Al Sayer, Farah Al Souri, and Naser Al Qatami. They all joined forces to create a memory in which all people can remember through their photographs, drawings, and sculptures.
