Found some really cool looking shoes at Kurt Geiger boutique in the Avenues phase II the other day. Like these black suede wedge heels with multi-chain detail on the back. I wasn't so sure at the beginning, but I thought to myself... if I rock them with a tee, a big shoulders jacket and skinny jeans/wide tapered pants, they'd look kind of rock chic cool. I tried them on, and nope, there was something off about them... plus I'd rather buy other shoes I'm eying from the S/S collections.So I slowly moved away, only to find these cute lace-up flat shoes for that ultimate urban chic look, loved the purple hued one, so I tried them on and they were sooo uncomfortable (thank god!! I need to stop my winter shopping for now!).. Moving on...
As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here.
