Mesmerized by Mélange

The award of the boutique with the best selection of hairbands and hair accessories has to go to Mélange in Burj Jassim! If the name sounds familiar, it's because the boutique used to be in 360 Mall and it has recently moved to Burj Jassim in Kuwait City. I was quite impressed with the selection they had in store! Think Eugenia Kim leather hairbands with gigantic knotted details, golden 3D florals and leaves beautifully intertwined to create the prettiest crowns and hair brooches, and Jennifer Behr's handcrafted pieces mixed with sparkling Swarovski crystals on an intricate metalwork. I also loved their statement necklaces selection, very vintage-like and reminded me of the glorious 80's obsession with chain necklaces and pearls. Scroll down for more eye-candy!

Merci Paris

This Summer, I have finally managed to visit the much-hyped and hip store Merci . Located in the heart of the trendy Marais, the store has a variety of goods, from interior design, fashion, stationary, cafe and a restaurant. Honestly the fashion section didn't rock my world, I liked a couple of pieces, but I wouldn't visit the store if I wanted to shop for fashion items. I would however go there if I was looking for quirky cool and uber-chic home accessories. But honestly, my general impression of Merci ? I felt that it didn't really live up to its hype. Anyhow, check out some of the pieces that I liked.

Trafalgar Takeover - Alma Boutique

I took these photos as part of the instagram takeover which I have mentioned in my previous posts. Alma Boutique is a multi-brand showroom for luxury watches and jewelry, owned and managed Trafalgar . They carry all sorts of luxury brands like Chopard , Solo Diamond , Harry Winston , De Grisogono , and more.Whatever my eyes fell on that day had 4-digits price tag! So I was mainly window shopping there *sob!*. Check out some of my favorite pieces in-store...

Underneath It All... Madame Bijouxx

When we’re on the hunt for loungewear and lingerie that won’t make you snooze, make Madame Bijouxx your first stop. Madame Bijouxx is Kuwait's first one of a kind boutique of exquisite collection of alluring lingerie that won't break the bank. Their price range is between KD 30 and up to KD 100 more or less.   It was my first time at Madame Bijouxx , and I'm so glad the owner Sara Al Abdul Kareem invited me to her newly-open store. There are so many beautiful undergarments and lingerie at Madame Bijouxx , and even though it may just be you (and your hubby) who get to see them, I really think that they can actually make you feel just as pretty as your normal or dressy clothes. The boutique carries a host of other essentials, such as night gowns, hosiery, comfy and light-as-air lounge wear (must check out a brand called Skin ), slippers, lingerie bags, fuss-free camisoles and slips, and most importantly—a whole lot of body shapers. It also is the place to go for brid...

Pacha Chic

This is a A long-overdue blog post on one of Bahrain's must-go shopping destination for shabby chic home furnitures, accessories and gifts, introducing Pacha Chic . Founded by two passionate designers and experienced event planners, Nouf Al Pachachi & Fajer Al Pachachi, the store offers high-quality, affordable vintage style home accessories and services to the market, as well as promote and nurture fellow national business woman who share the same drive as them. They also offer event rentals and services – turning people’s idea’s into reality. The  Pacha Chic   founders further explained to me via an online interview that ‘Shabby Chic’ is a style that is widely popular in Europe and the United States and has quickly picked up as a popular furniture style in the Middle East. Many shabby-chic themes centre around the use of shades of white. This is invariably combined with soft dreamy floral-patterns, wonderful pastel blues, greens, creamy peach...

I Want to Live in Madame Mantis

I wouldn't mind moving to Madame Mantis and live there forever if I could! Anyone who has visited this beautiful showroom has likely voiced this thought at least once! Because of its endless selection of home accessories and the most unique furniture, I always feel like that I have to buy something from there even though I don't really "need" to. Like for example this gold covered head sculpture by Kelly Wearstler , which by the way costs a whooping KD 3,000+. According to the sales lady, this piece is introduced by the designer every now and then but they're completely unique, never produced the exact same style. Everything you see in this store is absolutely unique! I try to go there regularly just so I don't miss out on the hard-to-find items, even though I mostly window shop. Check it out if you're doing some home improvements or looking for a gift. Scroll down for some of my favorite things. Madame Mantis is located in Shuwaikh, close to Al...
