Confashions From Kuwait

When I received a call from the representatives of Dar Hamad to come for an exclusive tour and get a first look of this mysterious place, I was thrilled! I have heard so many things about this new venue and wanted to find out more. So I paid Dar Hamad a visit and was beyond amazed by the whole ambiance. Dar Hamad showcases traditional Kuwaiti cuisine and hospitality in all its eras but with a modern and fresh twist.  I was blown away by how gorgeous the interior is, every little detail is well-thought of and utterly unique. The ambiance is modern but managed to preserve the old Kuwaiti identity, taking inspiration from Kuwait in the 50's and 60's (even older!). The interior is designed by the talented Architect and interior designer Jassim Al Saddah of Bab Nimnim . I was also impressed by the management's vision for Dar Hamad . I can't reveal much for now but let me tell you, it will be more than just a restaurant that's for sure! I haven't tried ...

I just found out that last March I have been featured in Style.com Arabia as part of their Faces of Fashion feature, where they listed 20 of the best fashion instagram accounts from the Arab world. Hey guys!! I’m back – My apologies for the radio silence. I didn’t post anything on my blog for almost three weeks, BUT, I tried to be as active as possible on snapchat and instagram to keep the momentum going. I was away with my lovely family on a summer vacation. I'll share with you in the following days some highlights of my trip.

So excited about Ramadan!! I love it! I love the fact that: It's all about worship and inner peace Spending quality time with the family Greatest month in the Islamic calendar  Get to do more of what is reuiqred from me to do as a muslim Hear the beautiful voice of Imam's in Mecca during prayers All those beautiful caftans  The fact that I can go out in my caftan to public places and get away with it Today I made sure to decorate our home to get my kids into the Ramadan spirit. I love Instagram takeovers! So I was super excited when I got approached by Trafalgar Kuwait to takeover their Instagram for a couple of days to showcase my favorite picks of their vast network of stores. So I'll be highlighting some of the brands which I checked out for the instagram takeover right here on my blog, starting with Etienne Aigner . Etienne Aigner was my mom's favorite go-to brand for handbags, actually I still have one of her vintage Aigner clutches and carry it every now and then. So when I visited the brand's shop at Harvey Nichols Kuwait, I was surprised to see how modernized the bags look now! This casual-cool satchel bag is a chic way to keep organized during the work week or on weekend excursions. It features a convenient detachable mini backpack too! How cool is that?!

The Arab Woman Awards were established in Dubai in 2009 by ITP, the region’s largest publishers of women’s magazine in the region. The awards were launched in order to provide a culturally acceptable platform for Arab women to celebrate their achievements.  I'm very thankful to be recognized for my over 16 years of marketing and business development expertise. After the positive feedback Seham Studio received during its first showcase at The White Expo, almost all of the brand's merchandise was sold out according to our trusty resources ;), I have decided to write a proper post about  Seham Studio 's  debut collection.  Kuwait-based brand  Seham Studio  is the brainchild of four focused, passionate and hands-on sisters with a single focus: to deliver trendy, budget-friendly, and fun kids kaftans, all while making sure they're having some fun doing it. The fabrics used in their designs are sourced from Kuwait, Europe, and USA. What I like about their designs is that most of the creations presented during the exhibition are good enough for both Ramadan and the entire summer. The separates can easily be paired with other wardrobe-staples. I have been invited by the representatives of  Prestige  of the Avenues to takeover their instagram account for 3 days starting this Tuesday. In those 3 days I'll bd walking you through to some of my favorite stores and the items that caught my fashion radars at  Prestige , The Avenues. Prestige is Kuwait's largest luxury shopping destination. It houses high-end brands such as Harvey Nichols Kuwait , Chanel , Burberry , PRADA , Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior , as well as cafes and restaurants that serve the finest international cuisine. I was beyond thrilled and honored when the representative of  the world's most famous department store    Harrods contacted me to participate in their # MyGreenMan campaign.  Basically I was sent a special and iconic figurine synonymous with the brand, a Harrods Green Man, all the way from UK, to celebrate The Vogue Festival 2015 . To participate I had to share photos on my social media account of the  pocket-sized Green Man on my travels  and in my own settings. Only 550 pieces were made of the green man and were sent to select family and friends of  Harrods    around the globe. So I feel very lucky to be among this group! I forgot to post these photos which I took before and during the Ralph Lauren event I hosted a couple of weeks ago ( previous post here ).
