Oh wow! It feels great to post again on the blog! I'm not going to give excuase or dwell on my lack of posting on the blog. So let's get starigh to business. First thing's first. I'm sure by now you have heard about Nada Debs' s howcase at AlOthman Pop Up . This is the second event I started working on and I'm so excited about it!  AlOthman's Pop Up will be hosting a special showcase of furniture and home accessories by Lebanese brand Nada Debs . The opening reception will be held in the presence of the designer on the evening of Sunday 25th September, and will continue until Thursday 29th September. Nada Debs ' designs deserve a lot of respect and appreciation. She has successfully managed to embody our Arabic culture using contemporary designs. Very very few home accessories designer managed to present us with such uniqueness and creativity, and the proof of Nada Debs's success is the hundreds of copied designs by other "designers...

While doing my monthly mobile clean-up , where I delete unwanted images to free up some space, I came across this image of me trying on the popular Victoria, Victoria Beckham bow-detail striped cotton-poplin shirt from the brand's Resort 2016 collection. I was patiently waiting for this piece to arrive AlOthman Boutique but when I tried it on I wasn't too sure about it, maybe it was the fit? Or the fact that I have too many (toooo manyyyy) striped shirts to justify another purchase. I ended up not buying it. It sold out in 2 days and now I kind of regret it -_-. HOWEVER the good news is that the same style will return for Summer 2017! (Yay!!), but in white (Nay!). So I'll just have to wait and see. Will have plenty of time to think about it.

This clutch by ecru is supposed to be used for toiletries, makeup, or to organize your handbag with, but I fell in love with the fabric and print that I decided to wear it as an everyday clutch, and you know what the best part is? It only costs KD 6 (around 20$)!!! Insane I know! My bargain of the week. One of my ultimate favorite places to shop for furniture and home accessories (and mostly window shop), is Madame Mantis . I have previously posted about it here and here . We should move to our new home soon and I'm going to have to furnish an entire place which can be stressful. Madame Mantis is a little gem in the neighborhood. They have an eclectic mix of decor and furniture. I love their distinctive twist of things such as random lips-shaped or Kelly Wearstler’s super luxe head sculptures. I was especially in love with their lanterns and tables. They had a flash sale of 40% during the last week of Ramadan. I went there to get a quick look of what might work for my home and came out empty handed because i wanted literally EVERYTHING! And I'm clueless when it comes to decorating. I don't think I have this talent of properly decorating spaces. Anyhow, If you're in the market for a new couch, home accessories, or event a side table, this is the place to go! ...

Sigh…  Céline  shoes (heart heart). The most stylish way to step into the season. It's hard to express just how much I love  Céline shoes. They're truly are some of the most staple shoes in my closet, remember last year's slippers with leather knotted details ? Yup, still wearing them to this day and they look on-point! Whether I'm pairing them with striped baggy pants or with a dainty/jersey dress, the foolproof slippers pumps up any of my too casual-they-might-look-like-a-pajamas outfits.  Look what I've spotted at  Céline  boutique in Prestige, the Avenues. If I haven't had my black slippers, I would have bought these off-white beauties instantly. 

First of all, have I been living under a rock lately?! How come I never knew about Aspinal of London having its own store in Kuwait, in the Avenues to be more precise?!!! I discovered it by coincidence on my way to dropping my kids to Kidzania . And the next surprise was finding one of the hottest collaborations of the season on display right there in front of me! être cécile , the uber-cool brand created by one of my style icons Ysamin Swell , has teamed up with Aspinal of London , designer, manufacturer and retailer of luxury leather goods and accessories for men and women, to present us with a collection of handbags, backpacks, and leather goods that blends the classiness and luxury of Aspinal and the quirky coolness of être cécile . I was hoping to see the famous plaid backpack, made noticeable thanks to Yasmin Swell during fashion week, but unfortunately it wasn't ordered for Kuwait. Wasn't it just yesterday that made my "team flats" declaration??! And then I come across this hot fuchsia heel with a fancy collar by Aquazzura and suddenly I'm all weak in the knees! What can I say?! When it comes to fashion I somtimes get all bi-polar!! Had to practice a lot of self-restraint in order not to fall in its trap. So far I'm proud to say that I have succeeded. Now all I have to do is avoid passing by it.... good luck to me!

Call it growing old(er), but I find myself recently always striving for clothes and accessories that are both stylish and comfortable. I no longer have the stamina to wear something that's uncomfortable. Comfort has become a “must have” when it comes to my fashion purchases. So for shoes, I've been opting for fancy flats that are anything but boring. Like these pair by Max & Co. They're pointy, they're flats, they're covered in faux exotic skin, they don't break the bank, and their bright red! What's not to love?!?! You can find these pretty pointy flats at Max & Co. Found a really nice statement necklace that won't break the bank! Spotted this greenish beaded necklace at Weekend by Maxmara at The Avenues the other day and it was selling for KD 35 only. The beauty of it, is that it can be worn as a belt, wrapped around your neck in a cute knot, or simply have it dangling on your neck. Just what a frugal girl needs to give an outfit an instant upgrade.

I can’t help myself… I love fur (faux and real!). The chicest and easiest way to dress up your any boring coat, knitted top, or jacket. I just spotted this half striped and half bright fox fur collar at Weekend by Maxmara and it was selling for KD 77 ONLY! A bargain I would say! I truly felt like it was calling my name. I just may have to have it. It comes in variety of colors, which would make this a perfect fit for whatever you wear.

I was looking for a gift for my relative's new born when I came across this super cool and exclusive collaborated collection from Liberty London for Mamas and Papas , at the brand's store in the Avenues Phase II. The collection included a range of strollers, clothes, and accessories completely decorated with Liberty’s striking prints; bold designs that let you stroll around in style. Needless to say I ended up buying the gift from this selection, one lucky stylish baby, ha?

I just got to know about this quirky-cool Italian brand called LEO Studio Design while browsing the selection at Harvey Nichols Kuwait . I love pieces with quirky flavor, but I know how I'll feel about them after a couple of months. I'll be like "What the hell was I thinking?!". HOWEVER! if the price points are not breaking the bank then there is no harm, right? I thought so too! So not only I loved the embroidery detail on the bags and shoes, but also their price tags! The shoes were selling for KD 53 only?!! Not bad at all! And the backpack was selling for 60 something?? I think I'm sold on this one! Scroll down to check out the other styles. 

The award of the boutique with the best selection of hairbands and hair accessories has to go to Mélange in Burj Jassim! If the name sounds familiar, it's because the boutique used to be in 360 Mall and it has recently moved to Burj Jassim in Kuwait City. I was quite impressed with the selection they had in store! Think Eugenia Kim leather hairbands with gigantic knotted details, golden 3D florals and leaves beautifully intertwined to create the prettiest crowns and hair brooches, and Jennifer Behr's handcrafted pieces mixed with sparkling Swarovski crystals on an intricate metalwork. I also loved their statement necklaces selection, very vintage-like and reminded me of the glorious 80's obsession with chain necklaces and pearls. Scroll down for more eye-candy!

Here's a quick review of some of the handbags that caught my attention the other day while shopping at Prestige, in the Avenues. Loving the color combo! I say yes to these timeless Chanel shoulder bags. Next.... Chanel bag... cute? Very!! Worth the investment? KD 990 for a fabric bag which hardly fits my junk? No thank you. Maybe it's best to invest in something of value like the ones here . Another drool-worthy bag! The matryoshka bag of the season: Prada's Inside Bag. I'm still debating whether I should go for it or not. I love the color, the concept, and the feel of the leather it self! Keeping this one on my wish list for now. The cutest mini monster bag charms by Fendi Cute! But I would only buy thisstyle if it was on sale... for 50% off no less!

Went shoe shopping the other day, my favorite kind of shopping, and found an assortment of shoes that ticked all the right boxes in my visual check-list: Stylish? Check. Comfy? Check. Styles not overly endorsed by not-so-super-instagrammers-who-think-they-are-super and international fashion magazines? (for some reason that's a turn-off for me) CHECK! Manolos , Louboutins , and Fendi . I would so wear the styles featured here in the order shown too, listed by preference. And they're all available in their respective brand boutiques in Prestige, the Avenues.

I am 100% dedicated Céline fan (and no this is not a sponsored or paid post, thank you). I could buy, use, and abuse almost all of its merchandise... If I had the spare money of course! I recently passed by the boutique to check out their pre-fall collection. It still amazes me how enthusiastic I get when I see Céline's regulars like the luggage bag and the box bag. Every season I tell myself I'm over the bag, but come new season, and I'm dragged again to that obsession hole. When the Céline box bag hit the scene, it quickly reached "It-bag" status. The shoulder/cross bag became highly coveted and highly carried by street style icons. To this day, I still find this box so appealing and classy! And the pre-fall designs offer new drool-worthy variations, like the burned dark chocolate one with the contrasting yellow stitching and the one with the exotic skin in a beautiful mustardy shade.
