Be an ICON

I was recently introduced to a new blog in town by the lovely blog owners and to cut a long story short. I have three little words for you: Read. this. blog.

Part style diary, part virtual inspiration board, the fairly new and fun blog beICONq8 was created by a small group of 2 guys and a girl, Maha Al Wanyan as a photographer and editor, Naif Al Thuwaini the graphic designer, and Yousef Al Taher the model.

"It's about mixing all kind of art from fashion, music, fine art and even acting. We want to show Kuwait and the world how to mix fashion with art. And to be of course iconic, stylish and fashionable." expressed Maha.  They're aiming to start styling and making photoshoots services in the near future.  "We don't want to focus on big designer names. We want to explore various fashion looks, boho to indie.  And nowadays, designers go for Indie bands look." said Taher.

My favorite part of their blog is their featured photos, so full of colors and caharchter. I have a feeling that their fashion force will make its mark on the local scene in a big way. Good luck guys!

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
