Webby Wednesday: Kuwait-Mall.com

Here's another Kuwaiti Online Shopping site, which I've recently heard of through one of my readers. Kuwait-Mall.com features electronics, handbags & wallets, watches, apparel, sunglasses, shoes , accessories, and more. Some of the brands being sold online are: Chloe, Chanel, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Marc Jacobs, Prada, Miu Miu, Nokia, Omega, Gucci, LV, Sony, and YSL to name a few. The website was first introduced to the public in July 2007 and until today they have around 7,078 unique visitors from Kuwait and the GCC region.

So how did the idea of having a Kuwait based online shopping site come about? "We own www.q80web.com which offers web hosting and web design and development services. The nature of this business prompts you to place orders online in order to save a lot of money and time and allows you to get products that are unavailable in Kuwait. So the idea popped up to my mind to make an E-commerce website that caters to almost all group ages and interests".

According to the owner of Kuwait-Mall.com, they provide 100% authentic products at low prices. And in most cases, the items are less than half of the retail prices. All handbags and accessories come with serial numbers and guarantees.

"When we first developed the site, we started by selling handbags, authentic and new ones with special prices. Then the iPhone came up to the surface and that gave Kuwait-Mall.com the big push, later on we started to add more products and started getting an increasing number of orders daily.", added Kuwait-Mall.com owner.

"We are from Kuwait but we bring our products from suppliers from different countries, such as USA, UK , Italy , Korea , Japan ...etc".

Have you heard of Kuwait-Mall.com before? Did you ever purchase anything from it? Do you feel safe purchasing from an Online Kuwaiti shopping site?

i also heard about this website a couple months ago but the minute i saw them selling LV bags i had my doubts.
would be inetersting to know how they can be lower than retail if they claim the goods are authentic and current season.
as for LV, even old stock cannot be bought by anyone for reselling....
would love to know how they function :)

They seem to be buying merchandise that is faulty.
They seem to be buying merchandise that is faulty.
I think that they are initially buying some up to date merchandise from stores and then selling it at a discount just to establish a name and a client base.
you can see that from the size run they offer, its never complete.
Would anyone buy any electronic device without the warranty?
Its fishy.
Lets assume they are getting the merchandise from a legitimate source, why the cut throat prices? Its not like they have big quantities and they would make money on volume.
All the brands they have listed have recognized re-sellers in Kuwait so they cant be getting it from a legitimate source.
All I can say that when something is fishy, it stinks.

excuse the duplication in the first sentence

i totally agree with anonymous.. a brand new designer bag for over 20% discount? New collection ba3ad?! It's like they say, if it's too good to be true, then it ain't true.

Sorry Guys but the site is absolutely 100% illegal. They do not have the liscencing for any of the brands they are supposedly selling (Villa Moda has exclusivity for Marni, Bottega, etc., Ostoura for Balenciaga). Also, some of the brands dont allow their brand to be sold online EVER (LV).

Therefore, The stuff they are selling are obviously good quality COPIES like they sell on Ebay (search for a new real Balanciaga on EBAY and you'll find great copies for about half the price---just like this website)

i wonder if they will take their website down soon.
if indeed all or majority is fake then that would be a scandal to originate from kuwait where buying power is one of the highest in the world (relative to population)
balenciaga also doesnt allow ANYONE to sell online anymore... browns is allowed to put up pictures but you have to order via phone or email. luisaviaroma doesnt even put up pictures; neither does aloharag. only asos occasionally has a B bag up and that is promotional.

I'm not sure how and why they are selling their stock cheaper. I hope the owner of the site can reply to all questions mentioned here :)

This website sucks. They steal your money and promise you that what you ordered will be there in a couple of days and when the time comes the never deliver it! They continue saying the item is delayed due to many stupid reasons until you, the buyer, gets tired and forgets that he already paid. All their authentic new items are actually over priced and the low price ones aren't original. Their electronic equipments don't have a warranty. They never reply the calls you make or messages you send.
I wish I never ordered for them and wasted my money when i could have ordered from Amazon.

can i be one to say that Kuwait Mall has the WORST service i have eveeeeerrrrr experienced?!
i ordered a few shirts in the summer (June) and i waited for over 2 months and i never got anything! after i messaged them, they told me they wanted to give me a refund without any reason! in the end i substituted my order for another couple of shirts, and within a week it was brought to me.
i wasn’t pleased with their service but decided to give them another shot. over 2 weeks ago i ordered a sweater, and it still hasn’t got here! i called and messaged them about the status of my order and they said it would be delivered on thursday (dec 25th) or saturday (dec 27th).. come saturday, i still hadn’t recieved my order! when i messaged them they said it’ll be delivered on monday because they took 2 days off for christmas (which is understandable, but then their 2 days would’ve ended on saturday!).. today is monday and i still haven’t recieved my sweater, and now when i try messaging/calling, no one picks up!!! needless to say i am NEVER ordering from them again.

i advise everyone to get their orders through aramex or any other kuwaiti online shop besides Kuwait Mall! absolutely horrible service and no value for their customers!!!!

Chanel Dubai Cruise 2015 Collection

I can't remember if I shared my views about Chanel's Dubai Cruise 2015 Collection on my blog or not, but I thought I'd share with you some photos of the pieces on display now at Chanel Boutique in Kuwait, Prestige in the Avenues and Salhiya Complex. I wasn't too crazy about the clothes. However, I did like some of the bags which had pompoms and tassels on them, as well as the gigantic pearl clutch. I also loved the Moroccan-inspired pointy flats and the silver jewelry adorned with coins and crescents. Of course the shoes were sold out in my size and I wasn't so crazy about the patterned ones. I LOVED the flap bag with Pom Poms, but it was above my budget. Overall the collection felt more Moroccan than Dubai-an. I wish if they have incorporate more of the our gulf region's culture into the designs. Oh And I added to this post photos of Chanel's milk carton shaped python clutch bag embellished with a CC signature. They're not part of the Dubai colle

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

To New Beginnings...

"What did this Corona crisis teach you?" my friend asked. My first thought was thing crisis has opened my eyes on the simple pleasures of life. My priorities have changed. And I feel every day is a new beginning. First of all, it made me realize how much I miss blogging. How simple and mentally satisfying it was to jolt down my thoughts on a field that I was very passionate about. I have to admit that I'm not as passionate now. Don't get me wrong, I still like fashion, but it's now on the bottom of my priorities list. I would like to blog about other things too that I feel much related to. I recently discovered that I do enjoy cooking. For the longest time, cooking to me was a nightmare.  This corona crisis has taught us that we can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to help another, or to simply approach things differently, and most importantly to make the most of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
