109.. The New Shopping Destination in Kuwait

This Morning I found out that a new store called "109" has opened in a complex called "Al Ghawali" located at Shuhada'a Street, Kuwait City (Opposite to Al Raya Complex). So I headed there to get a glimpse of the store and get my hands on it's stock before anyone else (as usual.. My shopping fever was at it's height). But when I got there, it turned out that the store will open this Saturday the 16th June. I have also found out that the store is owned by the same group that owns Fashion TV Arabia.. Interesting huh? 109 will be selling brands such as Exte, versace, Just Cavalli, C'n'C Costume National, GF Ferre, and Galliano. I wonder if it's going to be hip enough to compete with other trendy boutiques. So I guess we'll just have to wait & see.

You know what? I was carpooling with my sisters this morning and we passed by it and I told them about it.. apparently one of my sister is invited to the soft opening of the store. The invitation looks very nice and they have selected 109 invitees! Thats cool, isnt it?

That's very cool! Ask them what they think about the store plz :). Yesterday when i passed by it, I went inside and the store was completely empty. There were still men drilling the walls and the place smelled like v. strong fresh paint! I even told the people in charge over there if they'll be able to make it and meet their deadline..

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
