Summer's Fashionable Traveling

Passport expiation date?...check.
Get Visa from the embassy?... check.
A colorful luggage to easily notice it on the luggage arrival runway? ...check.
Stylish & comfortable clothes? ...check.
Agenda of Where to go and What to do? ...mmm... I'll check with the hotel concierge.. right?

WRONG! If you're planning to go to cities with fashion influence such as London, Milan, Paris, Dubai, or New York this summer, then you have to do your homework first. Very few people, ever think of putting an effort to do some research on the cities they are planning to go to. Take it from me, as much as I hate to admit it, it's not always about shopping, shopping, and shopping. There are beautiful and stylish things to see and do in those cities.

So, if you're traveling to these places, or any other place, let me know and I'll give you some trendy travel tips. Feel free to post a comment or e-mail me with your destination details.

Speaking of traveling, I read in the news that Space tourism pioneer Virgin Galactic has appointed Dubai-based travel agency Sharaf Travel as its "Accredited Space Office" for the Middle East region. The agency will offer commercial space flights to consumers in the Middle East at a cost of US $200,000 per ticket. Anyone interested?

What do you say Confashion? Let's book a couple of tickets and head out to space... I bet that will be something to write about... There will be a day when travel to space will cost what it costs to fly on an airplane today... mark my words... By the way... you can fly even further than space for a minimal cost... it's a destination called Heaven... you kind find travel details in the Quran :)

Has any one been to Sri Lanka? I was quite impressed... It is an amazingly beautiful country... I would also like to suggest Cape Town in South Africa but you'll need to wait until the end of the year as it is Winter there now. Where is the most amazing place everyone else has been?

Exactly right! Those old trainers are soooooo comfy, but you can't go to Bond Street, Champs Elysees or Rodeo Drive with them on! Don't forget to pack the cool stuff too.
What about northwest Italy (Piedmont)? We're going walking so will have the boots, but what about what to wear in Milan in July?

casual casual casual..you could go to a fancy restaurant or late night shows in jeans, and no one would give you a second look. And I'm assuming you're going to Australia during the summer am I right? So pack heavier clothing since it is going to be winterish. pack 2 Juicy track suits, walking trainers, lots of cotton shirts & tanks to layer (Layers are the best strategy if the weather is so and so), a wind-breaker, skinny & straight jeans, chic ballerina flats, a pashmina, knitted cardigan in a neytral color, and a nice shopping bag (a clutch would also be useful for night outs). bon voyage ;)

neytral = neutral

aaah milan, one of themost fashionable cities in italy. Loves it!

I read somewhere that Milan’s average temperature actually stays about the same throughout the year. Average summer high temperatures are around 25 & 30 degrees Celsius and are considered comfortable since we are used to the dry and hot weather over here. Sometimes it does get a little bit humid so make sureto take your anti-frizz products :) hope that's useful :)

All the fashionable cities I have been too were my fave :)

Oh and I forgot to answer your question on what to wear in Milan! Whatever you do, under no circumstances should you wear a track suit. Juicy or not Juicy. You need to dress up (in a casual way) in Milan. People there are trendy and they tend to give you the "look-over" once you step inside a restaurant or a store. So take your skinny jeans, flat shoes, summery dresses, shahtoosh or pashmina, a chic day bag. High-heels for night outs. And a couple of plain fitted shirts or tops.

Chanel Dubai Cruise 2015 Collection

I can't remember if I shared my views about Chanel's Dubai Cruise 2015 Collection on my blog or not, but I thought I'd share with you some photos of the pieces on display now at Chanel Boutique in Kuwait, Prestige in the Avenues and Salhiya Complex. I wasn't too crazy about the clothes. However, I did like some of the bags which had pompoms and tassels on them, as well as the gigantic pearl clutch. I also loved the Moroccan-inspired pointy flats and the silver jewelry adorned with coins and crescents. Of course the shoes were sold out in my size and I wasn't so crazy about the patterned ones. I LOVED the flap bag with Pom Poms, but it was above my budget. Overall the collection felt more Moroccan than Dubai-an. I wish if they have incorporate more of the our gulf region's culture into the designs. Oh And I added to this post photos of Chanel's milk carton shaped python clutch bag embellished with a CC signature. They're not part of the Dubai colle

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

To New Beginnings...

"What did this Corona crisis teach you?" my friend asked. My first thought was thing crisis has opened my eyes on the simple pleasures of life. My priorities have changed. And I feel every day is a new beginning. First of all, it made me realize how much I miss blogging. How simple and mentally satisfying it was to jolt down my thoughts on a field that I was very passionate about. I have to admit that I'm not as passionate now. Don't get me wrong, I still like fashion, but it's now on the bottom of my priorities list. I would like to blog about other things too that I feel much related to. I recently discovered that I do enjoy cooking. For the longest time, cooking to me was a nightmare.  This corona crisis has taught us that we can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to help another, or to simply approach things differently, and most importantly to make the most of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
