Turkish Treasure

Every fashion savvy lady knows that the easiest way to transform your look is with statement accessories. And recently I have received an e-mail from a half Turkish half Palestinian Jewelry designer based in Istanbul, who shared her beautiful pieces with me. The verdict? Ottoman Chic makes perfecting the high-low mix of statement accessories a piece of cake. 

Ottoman Chic is an unconventional bridge jewelry line comprised of authentic and diverse designs intended to meet the taste of all women. All designs are hand-made and are 24-Karat gold plated and unique in their compilation of semi-precious stones and pearls. The designer limits the designs to a maximum production cap to avoid giving it a "mass-produced" feel.  

Ottoman Chic brings together the cultural diversity of the Middle East and mystique of the Ottoman empire while being heightened with the touch of graceful imagination, a mosaic of colors, elements, and feelings. 

Ottoman Chic is currently available in Montreal, New York, Antibes, Riyadh, Amman, and Beirut. Price Point is between $180 and $400.

Wow very very nice! Hopefully she'll get to come to Kuwait to one of the exhibitions and sell this stuff. I think it could be a HIT if it happens a little before Ramadan.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
