Exclusive: Sneak Peek of dar.nur's New Location

As you may already know through my previous postdar.nur has been relocated to a new cozier location in Shuwaikh. The hip décor and home accessories boutique now welcomes you to its new store located at Lilly Center's courtyard, opposite to boutique 4 and next to Home Center. I personally much prefer this new location over the one at Seven Zones as it's more accessible and is located close to other boutiques that I enjoy visiting like Haifa Caftans, Wings, Peacocks & Paisleys, and Boutique 4. Al Telal Complex is just across the street. So it's definitely very convenient for someone who wants to browse home accessories shops.

dar.nur offers a vast selection unique gift and home decor options that can be difficult to find in other stores.  Its well-edited collection includes furniture, dishes, art, coffee-table books and art magazines like Canvas and Bidoun, lighting, and stationary. In other words, you won’t sacrifice style shopping here. You can also find great gift ideas for those who have everything. Featured here are some of my favorite pieces available currently at the store.

To find out more about dar.nurvisit their website or facebook page. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Noor Al zabin for her hospitality and invite to dar.nur

Beautiful painting by one of Kuwait's talented contemporary artists Ghada Al-Kandari. You can also find  Ghada's first book of sketches and drawings titled Body Parts. A nice gift idea for your art-loving friend.

This necklace is not available at dar.nur. It was worn by Noor and it looked fabulous paired with her structured top.

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
