I am head over heels in love with Vogue Nippon’s Fashion Editor Aurora Sansone’s dress. And when I first saw the street style photo by Tommy Ton for style.com, I had a “that-looks-familiar” moment. So naturally after seeing such a stunning piece, my brain clicked into high gear and started looking through my mental archives and finally I had an “Aha!” moment! I spotted this floral maxi and oh-so-modern dress before at Al Ostura’s multi-brand store in Al Thurraya Complex. The beautiful dress is designed by Aquilano Rimondi and it’s priced at KD 580. And no it’s NOT on sale.
I can't remember if I shared my views about Chanel's Dubai Cruise 2015 Collection on my blog or not, but I thought I'd share with you some photos of the pieces on display now at Chanel Boutique in Kuwait, Prestige in the Avenues and Salhiya Complex. I wasn't too crazy about the clothes. However, I did like some of the bags which had pompoms and tassels on them, as well as the gigantic pearl clutch. I also loved the Moroccan-inspired pointy flats and the silver jewelry adorned with coins and crescents. Of course the shoes were sold out in my size and I wasn't so crazy about the patterned ones. I LOVED the flap bag with Pom Poms, but it was above my budget. Overall the collection felt more Moroccan than Dubai-an. I wish if they have incorporate more of the our gulf region's culture into the designs.
