Manolo's Mary Janes

I was passing by the window display of TOUS boutique in the Avenues phase II when suddenly I got transfixed by two of the strongest words in Carrie Bradshaw's dictionary: MANOLO BLAHNIK! Whaaat?! I didn't know there was a collaboration between Manolo and TOUS!?! So I went in to check out the limited edition collection.  I don't know why I expected a big selection of items, I was surprised to see three pendants only and they're different in sizes. I was like "That's it?!" And the sales lady nodded. The pendants came in silver, gold plated, and real yellow gold and had the shape of Manolo's iconic Mary Janes. I liked the one with the smallest charm (Around KD 88). The sales lady later informed me that they also had one charm which comes with one diamond (You could barely see the diamond) and that it costs around KD 500+.  I still preferred the smallest charm. A cool gift to the shoeaholics in your life.

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
