Fatal Attraction

To put a chic spin to your jewelry collection (or your mom’s!), you HAVE to check out Octium. Octium is a new concept jewelry shop in Kuwait which opened its doors in October 2009 at 360º mall. When I first visited Octium it felt more like stepping inside a fancy boutique hotel lobby rather than a jewelry store. And ever since I’ve been there I wanted to feature it on my blog but didn’t get around it. And now thanks to Boutique 4, we can all admire the innovative interior of Octium exquisitely designed by Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayon from the comfort of our couches. Nevertheless, the place is a MUST-visit!

Octium has truly redefined the concept of luxury jewelry in Kuwait. It presents the work of various exclusive jewelry designers from UK, USA, and the Far East such as: Shaun Leane, Ivanka Trump, Hanna Martin, and Pipa Small. Some pieces reminded me of my Delfina Delettrez’s experience. The pieces in store are: iconic, unique, breathtakingly glamorous, to-die-for, and to splurge on. The place to send your loved ones to to buy you a gift *devilish smirk*.

Disclaimer: Confashion has learned the hard way that being a shopaholic and visiting Octium can be a fatal combo. Therefore, is not responsible for any financial damages triggered from shopping at Octium. Thank you.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Marie Claire Kuwait

Did you know that Marie Claire, an international women's magazine, has been launched in Kuwait and their second issue is already in newsstands? Winner of the Best Women's Magazine and Magazine of the Year award for 2005, the magazine reportedly has over 14 million readers worldwide with 26 editions in 13 languages across the world. Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. The magazine offers an editorial mix of journalism with glamour, fashion and beauty coverage, and feature stories of lifestyle and serious women related issues. All by an Arabic editorial team. Have you read it? If yes, what do you think of it?

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
