Exclusive: NoonoPink Ramadan 2014 Collection

Getting an exclusive sneak peeks of new collection is such a treat! I was lucky to be invited by local talent and designer Reem Al Mudhaf of NooNoPink to get a closer look of her 2014 Ramadan collection. I must say I was pleased to find the brand consistent with its high quality, design standards  and comfort, which  pretty much translates into extremely unique materials, meticulous finishing, superb fit, and timeless style. The collection included fancy caftans for house-hopping for the first week of Ramadan, when you get to visit family and friends to greet them on this arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, and there was a selection of casual/comfy-for-futoor (breaking fast) caftans in long and ankle-length versions, designed using her signature mix'n'unmatch style. I loved the mixed stripes caftan, I had to adjust the hip area though as I was trying the sample caftan, which was obviously meant for a model fat-free figure. Scroll down for some of NooNoPink's designs, much more will be waiting for you at her official launch.

NooNoPink by Reem Al Mudhaf's Ramadan collection will be launched on Thursday and Friday the 8th and 9th of May, from 10AM to 9PM.  For appointments, send a message through whatsapp to (965) 9990-7011, the collection is by order only.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
