The Outlet Store

Two of my ultimately favorite boutiques in Kuwait, 4 Concept store and AlOthman Boutique, have recently joined forces and unveiled their Outlet Store for men and women's clothes and accessories., all marked down up to 90% off. Imagine, deeply discounted Charlotte Olympia's, glamorous Erdem and Oscar de la Renta evening gowns and cocktail dresses, and uber-chic Alexander Wang and Rick Owens pieces - it's a sight for sore eyes. I mean who doesn't love a deal.

The outlet is very spacous and items were neatly displayed. However I wish clothes were organized by brand, but then again it's probably impractical for an outlet to do that. Of course I headed straight to the shoes and accessories sections because they're always fun and timeless, especially when you are shopping with a more discerning eye and a tight fist. There were a lot of still-in-style, high-quality pieces to grab, mixed in with some extremely hard-to-pull-off pieces. What do you expect?  It's an outlet after all. Anyways, I ended up taking at least seven pieces to the fitting room, and I'm considering to visit it again sometime this week for another go as I was pressed for time and couldn't scan through it properly. I highly recommend you check it out.

The Outlet Store opening hours are from 10:30am to 10:30pm Saturdays to Thursdays. I think they're only open in the evenings on Fridays but I'm not sure.

In love with these leather sneakers... perfect for our weather nowadays

Velvet ballerinas... they look so cozy and cute!

Shooooooes <3 p="p">

Something for the stylish men...

Marios Schwab hologram biker jacket

Evening gowns by Oscar de la Renta, Erdem, Rabee'a Kayrouz, and more...

A huge selection of Charlotte Olympia heels

I love Fummel + Kram scarves, they're known for their cutting-edge hand embroidered design and traditional fabrics. I'll share a pic of the one I got few years ago.
Preen embroidered dress is perfect if you're looking for something dressy with long sleeves

These necklaces are selling for KD 6

Some of the pieces I have picked... this unisex denim shirt with a red paint-like detail

So-on-trend slouchy leather pants by Jospeh and double layered Balmain-like grey tee

I noticed they had "Sixties", "Fifties", and "Ninties" signs displayed on each rack, when I asked the sales lady, she explained to me that these signs guide customers and inform them of the discount rate. Smart!

An Isabel Marant denim shirt which was selling for KD 200 is now selling for around KD 70 more or less. Not bad at all!

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
