In My Closet: Delfina Delettrez Jewelry

It's been a while since I've last posted about things in my closet. The other day I was taking this photo of my very humble Delfina Delettrez collection, I forgot to add the DD ring, to be used in an interview. And thought why not share it with my awesome readers. I think so far she's my favorite jewelry designer. The way she uses unexpected details in her designs sets her apart from the rest. Her style has this quirky cool mix of edgy and lighthearted. I can still vividly remember her first exhibition in the Middle East, which was held in 2009 at Al Sabah Art & Design Gallery, now closed unfortunately. The display was so mesmerizing and her jewelry were adorned with lips, eyes, skulls, insects, and ferocious animals. I also remember seeing the designer herself there, being interviewed by a local newspaper. I think she was wearing a dress by Marni. I wish I took her pic that day. Oh well... hope you enjoyed reading this segment.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
