Shopping in Doha

During my stay in Doha I managed to visit one of their latest and biggest shopping malls called The Villagio. The moment I stepped inside I immediately remembered a mall I’ve been to almost 4 years ago in Las Vegas. It had the same Venetian theme as the Venetian Mall complete with a canal and gondola ride. I spotted some major designer brand boutiques like: Marc Jacobs, LV, Gucci, Valentino, Burberry, Bottega Veneta, and the soon-to-be-open Prada (heart!).

Most shops had their A/W 2010 on display, only a few boutiques had the cruise collection available in store. So I made my favorite picks from the new collections starting with the wear-forever Bottega clutches in mouth-watering colors. One piece that took my breath away was a strapless lace-like cocktail dress by Marc Jacobs in summery hues of minty green and baby blue. And even though they didn't have my size (isn't that always the case?!) I  just had to try it on anyways, it looked STUNNING (had to leave the back zipper open! And since when American sizes became so tiny?!!). Price tag? 17,600 Qatari riyal which is around KD 1,360.
