Borbonese 101


I just received by e-mail that a new selection of Italian brand Borbonese have arrived in Villa Moda Shuwaikh, I’ve never heard of this brand before so when I looked it up online, I was surprised to find out that the brand has a long history. Originally, they started making luggage in the late 1800's, but have recently branched out to include RTW and handbags. Several seasons back Italian designer Allessandro Dell'acqua, who is more famous for his own label, designed for them.

In celebration of its first centenary, the brand collaborated with Roy Lichtenstein Foundation to create a new project: the Art Bags (last 2 photos), twelve bags produced in limited edition that reproduces some of the pop artist’s masterpieces shown at the exhibition at the Triennale di Milano.
