Some Souk Love

I passed by I Love Souk recently and I even loved it more than I did before. I loved how it looked entirely different with it's bright decor and use of light bulps everywhere. Also, there were a lot of interesting, funny, and new additions since I've last been there.. Here's a sneak peak...

A section of I Love Souk had a small display of previous exhibition: 5.5 Icon meets Icons, which celebrated the world’s most iconic perfume, Chanel No.5. Different artists and designers were commissioned to take Chanel No.5, and reinterpret it in their own style.

The above artistic and colorful scruptures are the creation of artist Mark Dean of Dean Project which also had an exhibition at Al-Sabah Art Gallery recently. And just so you know, pieces shown on the above photo are all sold out.

I loved the concept of these cotton shirts, each shirt is like a brief lesson of Kuwait's history. It givs an insight of mager catastrophies and bad incidents that happened in the past.

Murakami inspired pieces anyone?

My favorite section was the loooong woden table with all kind of accessories. It's my fave only because of the funny comment written on the table next to each item being sold. Very creative indeed!

And last but not least, this chandelleir is also part of Dean Project (And it's sold out already). It looked stunning.

I Love Souk is located on top off Al Sabah Art & Design Gallery, outside Al Corniche Club and to the left of Athletes Foot, Arabian Gulf Road.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
