U.G.L.Y

Louis Vuitton's new Graffiti and Rose Collection is now available in LV store at Salhiya Complex. The collection includes bags, shoes, and clothes using artist Stephen Sprouse's famous motif and graffiti designs in shades of neon pink, green and orange over traditional LV Monogram print. The verdict? UGLY.

it is ralaunching the original grafitti collection which is now considered as highly coveted colectables and which was truly fun.
it is sprouse and unless you know a bit about him, his work and the 80s then i believe one should not even consider wanting anyting fromt this collection.
the scarves are the best!

Everyone is calling this collection names; ugly, hidious, neon vommit, bad, cheap.. and so far I agree with all. It's so bad how Marc is doing this, sometimes I feel he is going crazy.
Some people like it though, but it's a minority.

Well actually I like it, EXCEPT got the graffiti over the LV classic LV monogram bags.

Marc Jacobs did this first when he met Stephen Sprouse sometime in 2004 ( I think!) at his house and saw he did that in black on a LV monogram luggage trunk in.
Stephen Sprouse is a lenegdary graffiti artisit from the 80's, very well known in New York (like Keith Harring).
So when Sprouse recently passed away, Jacobs, for is a fan, decided to relanuch this collection in his honor.
Now again, I agree that the ones in the LV monogram bags are not nice, but on bags, leggings, shirts... are 80's-neon-trash-fab.

And, just to make one thing clear, I am not a LV fan.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
