I just got back from the sale. I was looking for something to wear for my cousin's high school graduation, and I was enamored with choices... do I go classic-feminine, or can I pull off the contrasting bright colors look, or should I try something ethnic/ oriental that can also be carried over to Ramadhan gatherings?

I eventually went with industrial black, coupled with fuschia high heel sandals (My first experience with fuschia on a shoe, so wish me luck!)

BTW... at Villa Moda Shuwaikh, some shoppers brought their husbands with them to pay for their stuff, and that was pretty annoying, because you couldn't walk out of the dressing room, if you were wearing an evening gown or a transparent shirt that you wanted your friend or sister to see. Ladies, I say leave the fellas at home, and just take his K-NET card; any fashion-loving wife worth her pay should have the pin number memorized by now!

I'm not sure if there will be one this year or next. Villa Moda hasn't been receiving new stock for the past couple of seasons.. and as a result I don't think it will be hosting such events any time soon.

Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
