Tsumori Chisato at Villa Moda Mubarikiya

Tsumori Chisato is one of those designers whom I'm passionate about and almost every season I tend to buy a piece or two from her collection. Tsumori Chisator is known for her eclectic pieces and quirky designs. Not everyone will appreciate her work and her designs are definitely not for the minimalists. They can be described in two words: Bohemian Chic.

Villa Moda is the only store in Kuwait where you can buy Tsumori Chisato's collection. And Villa Moda Mubarikiya has just received TC's Fall 2007 collection (with a hefty price tag). Unfortunately, I was slightly disappointed with her collection this season. Something was missing. Anyhow, here's some of what's available in store now.

And here are some pictures of Tsumori Chisato's pre-fall collection which are also available at Villa Moda Mubarikiya.

Tell me something, which of these do you write for: Alef, Thouq or Bazaar? And you still haven't spilt the beans on that price tag of a Tsumori Chisato ( blimey! what a mouthful). Out with it now! In some ways I can almost begin to see a "Aki Narula" of sorts emerging right there in this collection. Who btw is the chief merchandiser for Villa Moda Mubarakiya? Also do they home deliver stuff to friends and relatives for you in the festive season?

mabroook.. great choice! 3alaich bil 3afiya :)

mad about madeleine vionnet
Well, Thank you very much, I'll take that as a compliment ;)
Tsumori Chisato's prices ranges between KD 200 and KD 700. Most of her casual cotton tops are no less than KD 200 or KD 150 minimum.

I'm not quite sure who's the senior fashion buyer at VM. I think he/she is doing a good job in terms of the selection of designers but need to work on the selection of items a little bit. VM offering at home personal shopping service? highly unlikely. Then again, I wouldn't know. They might give it to their V.V.I.P clients?

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
