More Highlights of Confashions x Ralph Lauren Event

I forgot to post these photos which I took before and during the Ralph Lauren event I hosted a couple of weeks ago ( previous post here ). As you can see the photos were taken using my crappy mobile phone, which desperately needs an upgrade! Anyways, here are more highlights of the event. Enjoy scrolling and style spotting!

Folklore Goes Paython

It usually takes me time to warm up to a bag from a new designer, that was not the case with Folklore's recently launched limited collection of python leather bags. I spotted them at AlOthman Boutique's caftan event a few weeks ago. There were 4 different color variations of the rolled-up bag, but only one that had me mesmerized, the one featured in the photo above. The leather was super soft, and that gold strip detail is just phenomenal. This collection is definitely my most favorite  Folklore   collection and most well-edited.  Folklore  is a Kuwait-based brand founded by the super stylish Haya Al Abdul Kareem. You can easily pair this bag with sharp tailored looks and classic ballet flats, or up the coolness ante with a pair of ripped jeans and a casual half-tucked in tee. You can find it now at AlOthman Boutique.

New Addition to the Arm Party

I got this beautiful diamond and green aventurine bracelet by the award winning contemporary jewelry brand  Monica Vinader . I loved that green semiprecious stone, but what I loved even more is the fact that it's so easy to wear and take off, alone! It has this cool technique were you pull to adjust the size to your hands fuss-free! And last but not least, it's perfect for layering with my everyday arm party. You may shop  Monica Vinader   online  here .

Confashions Hosted an Event at Ralph Lauren Boutique

A few weeks ago I was approached by the lovely  Ralph Lauren  team for an opportunity to host a luxury event at the brand's boutique in Prestige, The Grand Avenue. The event is to celebrate the launch of  Ralph Lauren 's Ricky Drawstring bag at the store. I was also offered to style the models for the occasion, in 12 different looks that represent my style. To say that I was flattered would be an understatement, I was a bit scared at the beginning as I wasn't so sure how to represent this refined and amazing world of Ralph Lauren, and giving it my own quirky personal style. I was worried it might clash. All my doubts were proved wrong as I visited the store a couple of days before the actual event to browse the selection and prepare the looks for the event. I examined the brand's Spring 15 Black Label Collection up close, beautifully made of refined contrasts, amazing details, with feminine and modern feel. I was impressed by how beautiful and inspiring the colle...

Monchhichi

Monchhichi !! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my favorite childhood toy being actually sold at Harrods ' toys section in London last month! Such a blast from the past! Do you remember it?  I used to have a whole family of these cute little monkeys " soft and cuddely, with your thumb in your mouth you're really sweet!! ". I was so tempted to buy one, I'm glad I didn't as they're too girly for my little boys. They did bring back great memories though! And here's the clip of the original Monchhichi commercial .

Pretty in Pink

It was my first time ever to see a blooming cherry blossom tree in London. It say it was magical would be an understatement. I stood there under it for quite sometime staring at its beautiful petals. Passersby probably thought I was crazy or something. It was such a a wonder to behold, you feel as though you are floating in an otherworldly pink land, far away from here.  I just recently found out that for most of the year, cherry blossom trees just look like normal trees, but in mid March and April, they bloom and become decked in pink petals. A pretty sign announcing that spring is definitely here. I must plan a trip to Japan to visit THE land of cherry blossom trees.
